Class Descriptions

Basic Agility I (BAI)

This class is designed for dogs with little or no agility experience.  It is designed for fun and exercise and
enables teams to find out what agility is about.  Jumps and A-frame will remain at low heights.  Class content
will include on leash and off leash work, teaching your dog to move and play with you, introduction to all
obstacles and short, fun sequences. This class is ongoing.  You may start at anytime. You may move up to the
Basic Agility II class when
certain skills have been obtained. This typically takes 5 - 8 sessions.  

You may purchase a 5 session package* for $65.00 or pay as you go at a charge of $15.00 per session.   
Classes are 60 - 75 minutes long depending on class size.

Basic Agility II (BAII)

This class is designed for dogs that have been introduced to most obstacles and can perform them safely.  
Building confidence on obstacles, improving the dog handler relationship and basic handling skills are the
main objectives in this class.  Class content will include mostly off leash work, exercises and short to
medium length sequences. This class is ongoing and when
certain skills have been obtained the team may
move on to Course Work classes.

Course Work Classes (CW)

The requirement for this class is that the teams can work off-leash and can safely perform all equipment.  
The dog should be confident on most equipment.  Usually there will still be a few obstacles that need to be
refined. Class content will include exercises to improve handling skills and build confidence on obstacles
along with medium sequences building up to novice courses.  This class is ongoing.  It is expected that
handling teams may take multiple Course Work sessions to build the dog – handler relationship or while
preparing for competition.

Q-Class (QC)

This class is offered to teams that have earned a qualifying leg in the novice or equivalent level in a class with
contacts or by invitation.  Teams should be familiar with all obstacles and be able to perform them safely.  
The class will focus on advanced courses and related training issues such as distance work, layering and
advanced handling challenges.

You may purchase a 5 session package* for $65.00 or pay as you go at a charge of $15.00 per session.   
Classes are 60 - 75 minutes long depending on class size.  Drop-ins welcome, please RSVP.


Advanced Q-Class (AQC)

This class is offered to teams that have earned a qualifying leg in open or equivalent level in a class with
contacts or by invitation.  Teams must be familiar with all obstacles and be able to perform them safely.  The
class will focus on the highest level courses and improving distance, layering and advanced handling
challenges.

You may purchase a 5 session package* for $65.00 or pay as you go at a charge of $15.00 per session.   
Classes are 60 - 75 minutes long depending on class size.  Drop-ins welcome, please RSVP.


Q-Quest Forum (QQF)

This class does not have formal instruction.  It will consist of high level competitors working on the highest
level courses. The small group will run and discuss different ways of handling top courses (USDAA master /
tournament courses, NADAC elite distance work, and Excellent AKC courses, etc.) The calendar will note the
type of course each week.  Handlers should have titles at Masters, Elite or Excellent levels or be working a
highly competitive dog.  By invitation only.  Let me know if you are interested in participating.

$10.00 per session per handler (2 dog limit). Classes are 90 - 120 minutes long depending on class size.  

* 5 session package must be used within 6 months of purchase.
